PRESS STATEMENT

America’s offensive against the Taliban regime is contrary to and condemned by its own judicial system that requires among other things, conclusive and uncontestable evidence to pronounce an individual guilty, let alone declare war against an entire nation. The ‘sensitive evidence’ stratagem’ is an attempt to silence the demand for proof of bin Laden’s guilt, without actually providing it, thereby legitimising State sponsored terror against Afghanistan. President Bush’s often repeated cliché “either you’re with us or against us” reflects an arrogant denial of civil liberties and attempts to monopolise common sense, discretion and reason. The ‘war on terrorism’ makes America’s bizarre complicity in the genocidal destruction of Chechnya, it’s tacit support of India’s occupation of Kashmir, its passivity in Bosnia, a declaration of war against itself.

The war on terrorism as dubbed by America and her allies is actually a war of blind American patriotism, a reckless attempt to salvage American pride, and a hopeless bid to piece together the American dream. Arrogance, pride, and tyranny are the anathema of every religion and are bound to destroy those who live by such mannerisms.
