Zionist Israel the Hammer, Egypt the Anvil
There is no prize for guessing who gets the most official aid from the USA. As for the second- placed beneficiary, well, it is Egypt.

Egypt gets U$1bn annually. It is the ‘bounty’ the north African country is guaranteed for ‘making peace’ with the number one recipient of US aid: occupier Israel.

By conservative estimates occupier Israel gets over U$3bn per annum in official disbursements from the USA.

Recent events indicate that Egypt is making good of her ‘responsibility’ of keeping Israel safe.

Two missions aimed at breaking the siege and blockade of Gaza have been frustrated in the past week by the authorities in Egypt. The first one was Viva Palestina and the second was Gaza Freedom March.

Viva Palestina, a convoy of over 200 vehicles and activists left London on 9 December 2009. Led by House of Commons member George Galloway and travelling overland, the mission’s aim was to supply food and medicine to the open-air prison that is Gaza.

The mission has been sent around in a circle of hundreds of kilometres after Egypt denied the convoy entry at a convenient point into Gaza from the Egyptian territory.

At the time of writing, there are fresh reports of the injury of members of the mission following clashes with Egyptian riot police. The activists have been protesting the treatment they have received from the Egyptian authorities at El-Arish, their supposed point of entry preferred by Egypt.
Egypt keeps changing the goal posts in order to completely frustrate the mission.

Gaza Freedom March took a leaf from Gandhi’s non-violent protest. The ‘Code-Pink’ campaign went to Egypt in order to cross into Gaza and join Palestinians there who would walk towards Eretz border crossing into Occupied Palestine.

It was a symbolic mission aimed at breaking the siege and blockade of Gaza.

After months of negotiations with Egyptian authorities, the campaigners learnt in Cairo just days before the 1 January 2010 scheduled protest that they would not be allowed entry into Gaza.

Before all this earlier in December 2009, it was reported that Egypt was receiving technical assistance from the US in constructing an underground steel barrier along Gaza's southern border. It is barrier that will go as deep as 18 metres, effectively closing most of the tunnels people in Gaza use to smuggle essential supplies to their besieged town.

As all this plays out, Egypt's foreign minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, claims: “The Egyptian state and people paid a very high price and paid with their blood for more than 50 years in support of the Palestinians. No one should compare himself with what Egypt did and is still doing for the Palestinians.”

Yet Egypt’s apparent cooperation with occupying Israel’s policy on Gaza has become an embarrassment to ordinary Egyptians. For many commentators, Egypt’s conduct is designed to undermine Hamas by punishing ordinary Palestinians.

Egypt has allowed herself to do Israel’s dirty work of augmenting the occupation and the writing is on the wall.

Trial through Actions

Abu Sa‘id Al-Khudri Radhi-Allahu ‘anhu reported: The of Allah Sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam said, "The life of the world is sweet and green. Allah makes you generations succeeding one another so that He may try you in respect of your actions. So beware of the beguilements of the world and those of women. The first trial of Banu Israel was through women."

Q and A

Question: When teaching a child Surah Faatiha, is it acceptable to break up the words? Are we changing Qur'an Kareem by doing so?

Answer: When teaching someone to read the Qur’an, it would be acceptable to 'break' the words up to facilitate learning. It would not be considered as 'changing' the Qur’an.
And Allâh Ta’âla Knows Best.

Reward for good deeds: Salaah
“O believers! Bow down and prostrate, and worship your Sustainer, and do good so that you may succeed.” (22:77)

• Allah says in the Noble Qur’an, “Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah. And those who are with him, they are strong against the unbelievers and soft hearted amongst themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking the favour and pleasure of Allah. Their marks are on their faces, from the effect of prostration.” (48:29)

• Allah says in the Noble Qur’an, “Those who establish salaah, discharge zakaah, who believe in Allah and in the Last Day: to them shall we give a great reward.” (4:162)

• Allah says in the Noble Qur’an, “Establish salaah in the two ends of the day and in some parts of the night. Surely good deeds drive away evil deeds.” (11:114)

• Abu Dhar radhiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam came outside in winter when the leaves were falling (off the trees). Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam held a branch and the leaves began falling. He said, ‘O Abu Dhar!’ I replied, ‘Here I am, O Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam.’ He said, ‘When a Muslim offers his salaah for the pleasure of Allah, his sins fall off him just as these leaves are falling off this tree.’ (Musnad Ahmad)

• Bakr bin Abdullah Al Muzani says, ‘Is there anyone like you, O Man? When you want to go to your master, you can go without seeking permission.’ Someone asked him, ‘And how is that possible?’ He replied, ‘You perform a complete wudhu and you go into your prayer room. You have thus gone to your Master; speak with Him without any interpreter.’ (Tabrani)

• Uqbah bin Aamir radhiyallahu anhu narrates that he heard Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam saying, ‘Whoever performs a perfect wudhu, and then follows it with two raka’ats of salaah with total devotion and humility, paradise becomes incumbent upon him.’ (Muslim)

• ‘Ubadah bin Saamit radhiyallahu anhu narrates that he heard Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam saying, ‘When a servant prostrates for Allah, Allah records one good deed in his favour, wipes out one sin from him and elevates his rank by one. You should therefore prostrate in abundance.’ (Ibn Majah)

• Rabi’ah bin Ka’b radhiyallahu anhu narrates: I used to spend the night with Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and bring wudhu water and other necessities to him. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said to me, ‘Ask me.’ I replied, ‘I ask you for your companionship in Jannah.’ He said, ‘Do you want anything else?’ I said, ‘That is the only thing.’ Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, ‘Help me over yourself by prostrating in abundance.’ (Muslim)

• Hudhayfah radhiyallahu anhu narrates that Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam said, ‘There is no condition of a servant that is more beloved to Allah, than seeing him prostrating, rubbing his forehead on the ground.’ (Tabrani)

• Jarir bin Abdullah radhiyallahu anhu narrates: Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam asked, ‘Which deed is best?’ He replied, ‘Standing for lengthy periods (in salaah).’ (Muslim)

Message from the Ameer of the Jamiatul Ulama

Uniting in the Worship of Allah
(This is a re-run of one of the Amir’s previous messages)

In Mishkat al-Masabeeh, a hadîth appears wherein Sayyidina Abû Hurairah Radhi-Allahu ‘anhu says that once Nabî Sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam appeared whilst a group of sahaba were discussing the concept of taqdîr. On hearing them, Nabî (Sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) became so angry that his blessed countenance turned red. He said: “Is this what you have been commanded with or was I commissioned with this? Those before were destroyed once they began discussing the belief of taqdîr. I command you not to discuss the belief of taqdîr".

This world is worth very little in the eyes of Allah and will perish some day. Everything on it will also perish. The time for its destruction has been fixed, but until then, the world will remain a source of benefit for human beings. It is definitely bound to end one day.

There are many tasks that we as human beings are able to accomplish, with ease or with a little difficulty. However, if someone is asked to carry five hundred kilograms of stone, we will say that he does not have the strength to carry it. If someone is asked to read something written on a wall six hundred metres away, we will say that his sight is not so strong. Intelligence is similar, in that it reaches its limit and cannot perceive things beyond that.

We learn is that there are certain things that are imperceptible and unintelligible to the human mind. One will simply have to accept it. We should regard the belief of taqdîr to be from those beliefs that one’s understanding cannot fully grasp. It is necessary to believe in it without full understanding.

We tend to sometimes give precedence and preference to issues which are not top priority. We focus on issues of controversy that exhaust our time and energies and prevent us from seeking beneficial knowledge or the ibaadah of Allah … and we expend our time on issues that divide rather than unite us in the unity of the worship of Allah.
