The Significance of Sha'bân
Sha'bân, the eighth Islamic month is second only to Ramadân in virtue, blessings and greatness. It is due to this virtue and greatness that the Prophet Sallallâhu 'alayhi wasallâm used to emphasise its importance not only verbally but practically too.

Proliferation of Divorce: Guidelines for Bayaan

Due to the proliferation of divorce among the Muslim Community of South Africa, the Jamiatul Ulama has proposed the following guidelines for a Jumu’ah Talk during September 2004.

We are hoping that by having this common Jumu’ah Talk, we may create some sort of awareness in the community and perhaps arrest this growing trend of many marriages ending up in divorce.
