Hazrat Maulana Badiuz Zaman, a distinguished student of 'Allamah Yusuf Binnori passed away on 3rd February 2000/26th Shawwal 1420 after a lengthy illness. Maulana Badiuz Zaman. His father was the eminent Maulana and Juddge Ghulam Rasul, and it was under the sterling tutelage of his father did he gain his initial training and learning. He was known as one true sons of Dar al-'Ulum Deoband, and a true representative of Islam. His students include the likes of Mufti Muhammad Rafi 'Uthmani, Mufti Muhammad Taqi 'Uthmani, and the martyred Maulana Dr. Habibullah Mukhtar. |
His lessons were said to be the true reflection of his vast learning. Whilst teaching, he would digress a bit to give historical and cultural explanations on certain matters which could have only been gleaned from a vast variety of books. His humorous way of explaining things, and his uncanny ability to solve even the most intricate of problems won him a fond place in the hearts of his many students. |
From his three sons, all are ‘Ulama; and of his four daughters, two are ‘Alimah. May Allah grant his family sabr-e-jamil, and Maulana Badiuz Zaman a fragrant garden in Jannat - Amīn. |
