Modern Day "Human Rights":

A Fundamentally Flawed Concept

The purpose of law is to regulate inter-human relations in a manner that is just, balanced and equitable. Human knowledge is constrained by time, limited perceptions, and human bias. If law is built and rooted in neither faith nor any abiding concept of right and wrong, It is bound to have catastrophic consequences. In the world of today, "Human rights", oversells liberties and undersells responsibilities. It oversells the freedom to protest and undersells the need for discipline. It breeds abnormality and perversion, confrontation instead of consultation. When law is centred on "right", it breeds a culture of conflict and anarchy!

Anarchy

Human Rights are premised on the supremacy of man. Man, by virtue of his supremacy, may enact laws as he deems expedient. The logical result of this supremacy is freedom... freedom at the cost of "democracy". The Bill of Rights overrides both religion and the hallowed principles of democracy.

Consider the following:

The Ministry of health received over 157 000 submissions regarding abortion, 97% were pro-life.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs received thousands of submissions concerning pornography - 99% were against legalising pornography.

The Human Sciences Research Council survey stated that 78.7% opposed the legalisation of abortion.

The overwhelming submissions, with regards to capital punishment were for the execution of murderers.

In spite of the overwhelming majority, in spite of the notion of "a government for the people" the aspirations of the masses were ignored because they are inconsistent with the Bill of Rights.

Anomalies

Based on the oblique principles of Human Rights, marriage is redefined to include two men in love, or two women in love, then on what principled ground can it be denied to three or more men or women in love?

If gay marriages is a human right, on what principled grounds can it deny a brother wanting to marry his sister or even a son wanting to many his own mother?

If Human Rights dictates: "That everyone has the right to bodily and psychological integrity", on what principled grounds can it prohibit the act of bestiality? (The right to sexually associate with animals).

Human Rights undermine the authority of the Almighty, it challenges the morality of man, it thus fundamentally changes man’s position on earth from vicegerentcy to sovereignty. It essentially negates man's primary function on earth and denies the hereafter. It overrides divine law and entrenches human folly.
